Malay Youth Naarm has officially unveiled a fresh new look with the launch of our revamped logo—an exciting milestone that marks a new chapter for our community. This redesign isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a powerful statement of our growth, resilience, and evolving identity as young Malays in Naarm

Our Designer Perspective

The Malay Youth Naarm logo is a carefully crafted symbol of identity, heritage, and growth. Designed with a modern yet culturally rooted approach, it reflects the journey of Malay youth in Naarm (Melbourne) as they navigate the intersection of tradition and contemporary identity.

At its core, the logo subtly incorporates a crescent shape, with the text "Malay Youth Naarm" following its curve. This crescent-inspired typography layout creates a sense of movement, unity, and continuity, symbolising the community’s evolution while staying grounded in their heritage. The crescent, a powerful symbol in Malay and Islamic culture, represents guidance, renewal, and interconnectedness—a reminder of both personal and collective growth.

Accompanying the crescent are three parallel lines, representing the past, present, and future. This design choice reflects the progression of Malay youth, acknowledging their rich history while embracing the opportunities ahead. It also symbolises the core values of the community: identity, belonging, and leadership.

The typography blends Arabic and English, with “MEEN” (مين) serving as a subtle yet powerful question: “Who are we?” This reflects the brand’s philosophy of self-discovery, cultural pride, and empowerment.

The color palette—deep forest green (#244B33), olive mist green (#ABB087), and warm beige (#ECE3C0)—was chosen to evoke strength, growth, and warmth. The deep green symbolises resilience and heritage, the olive mist adds a touch of freshness and balance, and the warm beige introduces approachability and tradition. Together, these colors create a harmonious and timeless identity.

More than just a visual mark, it stands as a symbol of empowerment, unity, and cultural connection, inspiring Malay youth in Naarm to embrace who they are (مين) and shape their future with confidence.
